Sometimes the best way to get experience talking to employers and getting yourself in front of businesses is by going to job fairs. These days, employers get 100's if not 1000's of people applying for a job - so it's real difficult to stand out, even if you have a great resume and skills.
A job fair allows you to get face to face with employers - so you can make that impression that will make an impact. If you live around the Modesto area, you will want to check out the bi-annual MJC Job Fair.

The event is free of charge, and the job fair attract businesses that are hiring FT or PT ... so no commission or staffing jobs will be present. Make sure you bring your best clothes and several copies of a quality resume. As always, you can find jobs in Modesto at 209 Valley Jobs anytime.
